“Yazlik is the best”

“After several return trips to Kalkan we came back to Villa Yazlik, where we first discovered this wonderful area of Turkey. We’ve stayed in several other large villas in Kalkan but for us, Yazlik is the best one so we were very happy to be able to return!

With panoramic views of Kalkan, this is a stunning villa with so much space that even when part of a large group, there is plenty of room for everyone. It is right at the top of the hill, overlooking the town, the steepest hill to reach it but all part of the fun and totally worth it for the views and the privacy.

Inside, the villa is well appointed and feels like home from home. All the bedrooms have their own bathrooms, two of them with jacuzzi baths and an additional shower room on the main floor which is really useful. The main suite has a balcony with just the best views of the coastline, a perfect place to sit at any time of day.

There’s a spacious living room and kitchen which is fully equipped with everything we needed. More than enough seating for everyone to be comfortable too!

The pool area is beautiful – WOW! There’s also a jacuzzi pool attached to the main pool, and a shallow pool downstairs which would be ideal for small children. There’s also a covered bar area and cushioned seating so it’s easy to find shade too.

A special mention to Yusuf and his wife who manage the property and prepared the most wonderful banquet for us at the villa (book ahead) – all preparation and cleaning up done too, what an absolute treat and an added bonus. They brought us bread every morning and nothing was too much trouble.

We’re already looking at our diaries to work out when we can return as it’s impossible to find a negative about this beautiful villa!”

“Luxurious and spacious”

“The villa is luxurious and very spacious with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the facilities and the view.

The infinity pool is a star attraction and it was difficult to drag four children away from it, although they also enjoyed the table football and the outside lounge area where they could play games. The adults were happy on the sun loungers and in the jacuzzi.

There was plenty of room in the kitchen and at the outside table to enjoy cooking and eating for nine of us. We enjoyed using the bbq.

The villa is very well maintained and the local couple who assist in looking after the villa, visited regularly to tidy up and check the swimming pool. They were friendly and helpful to us.

There are many great restaurants nearby and we made use of the local beach clubs where you can hire sun loungers and are plied all day with food and drinks.

We visited Saklikent gorge which was incredible and did a whole day boat trip around the small local islands, jumping off the boat into the crystal clear water.

We were a three-generation family and we all had such a good time.”

“A wonderful family holiday in this beautiful spacious luxury villa”

“We had a wonderful family holiday in this beautiful spacious luxury villa. The villa is spread over three floors and there are lots of different sitting areas at each level. Easy to escape to read a book! There is a fantastic main pool with lots of sun lounges and importantly shade. The views over the harbour are stunning. The town is a 10/15 min walk down some steep streets – absolutely fine with flat shoes. Taxis are always available for the return trip. Also helpfully there is a complimentary taxi service to a nice nearby beach club or alternatively walk to the harbour where there are complimentary water taxis to an array of other beach clubs. During our week we hired a boat (Captain Ali / Zeus boat) for a day and arranged a trip to Saklikent Gorge which were enjoyable. We would highly recommend this villa for a family/group holiday. Thank you.”

“One Of Our Best Holidays Ever”

“We spent a lovely holiday at Villa Yazlik and it is truly a welcoming and beautiful property with breathtaking views over Kalkan and Kalamar Bay.

With 5 bedrooms there is plenty of room and everywhere feels spacious and light but it is the main terrace that really impresses. There is a lovely infinity pool and for once on a villa holiday a sun lounger is available for every guest even when the villa is full to capacity!

The inside space is bright and comfortable and every area is well equipped, particularly the kitchen, so it is easy enough to self-cater if you do decide to take a break from sampling the huge number of excellent restaurants in Kalkan Old Town and the Harbour. The living area has amazing glass walls so the incredible views can be enjoyed from inside as well as out.

Kalkan Town is easily accessible on foot or by taxi. There are plenty of shops in the town and an open-air market on Thursday ideal for food and souvenir shopping. There is also an attractive, safe beach area near to the Harbour.

All in all one of our best holidays ever.”

“All in all, perfection!”

“We spent a week at Villa Yazlik in August. It was truly beautiful and so relaxing! We really didn’t want to leave it to visit anywhere! Although we were a family of just 4, because of the clever lay out, we did not feel too spaced out, but I can equally imagine the Villa suiting a really big party. We loved the pools. We were overwhelmed by the view! And the slight mountain breeze definitely helped in the soaring temperatures.

There is everything you need at Villa Yazlik, and we could easily cook for ourselves, but who would really want to with so many brilliant restaurants in town? Taxis were cheap and plentiful; either for a quick run down to town, a lift to a beach club, or for hiring for a half day or whole day trip to the mountains as we did.

Jenny is a lovely welcoming host, and she was so kind to let us stay later on our last day as we had a late flight home. All in all, perfection!”

“So much better than home!”

“Home from Home this is not – for me Villa Yazlik was so much better than home! It has all the space and comforts which make for a very relaxing holiday for me. I liked that the bedrooms each have their own outdoor space, ideal for me to hop straight out of bed to grab those morning rays! The infinity pool is a great size and we all appreciated the provision of plentiful poolside loungers, sun umbrellas and terrace seating. The outdoor bar area with fridge is perfect for relaxing with cool drinks out of the sun or in the evening – the views are hard to beat! I loved eating at the restaurants in Kalkan in the evenings but also enjoyed the alternative of a BBQ at the villa and an evening in. Great facilities overall!”

“Villa Yazlik never fails to impress”

“We spent 12 days at Villa Yazlik in June. We have been to Villa Yazlik on numerous occasions and it never fails to impress. The five double bedrooms provide plenty of space and the kitchen which is fitted with everything you need. The star of the show is the magnificent infinity pool, Jacuzzi and barbeque area with stunning views and a perfect space to laze around or have lunch or an evening meal. There is also a second pool perfect for children.

Kalkan itself is a 15 minute walk or a very short cab journey away and they are easy to book, plentiful and cheap. For self catering Kalkan has plenty of supermarkets and the weekly open air market on a Thursday is a particular treat. Kalkan also has many excellent reasonably priced restaurants on the main strip and on the harbour.

The owner Jenny is very helpful and can arrange the transfers to and from the airport and there is a team contactable on sight to help out and meet your every need.

All in all we feel a perfect spot for a relaxing holiday as proved by our returning visits.”

“A splendid villa”

“We holidayed at Villa Yazlik in October 2022 in a party of eight. For some of us this was a third or fourth visit, others their first but all agreed it is a splendid villa & in no way does it feel crowded. How could it with five spacious bedrooms, large dining/living area & masses of outside space a fair bit of which is under cover & allows for alfresco dining even in the hottest weather. The infinity pool is the star of the show looking out from on high across Kalkan & the beautiful bay (top tip: if you’re in a party hire your own boat for a day from the harbour it’s not at all expensive) & lower down the villa is a great kiddies pool.

It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the town & if you go on a Thursday there’s a substantial market selling an eclectic mix of stuff not to be missed. Kalkan is blessed with many fine restaurants suiting all tastes & budgets & the Villa’s owners are great at advising on what’s in vogue.

Jenny (the owner) can help with arranging airport transfers & don’t be put off by the 90 minute transfer time as the drivers invariably take less! We shall definitely be returning at some point in the not too distant future.”

Fantastic house in a fantastic location

“We had a fantastic two weeks at the villa. The most striking thing about the property is the amazing view, but this is complemented by extremely luxurious accommodation and incredible outdoor space… A stay here is highly recommended.”

Exceptional”

“We have just had a week stay at this exceptional villa. It was everything we could have wished for, well equipped and very spacious. Yousef took great care of us bringing fresh bread every day and keeping the villa pool clean for us to use every day. Baharat restaurant was our favourite with their Chateaubriand exceptional. Kalkan has definitely stolen our hearts and we will definitely be back.”

“Heavenly”

“Just had the most wonderful 2 weeks at Villa Yazlik. We are regular visitors to Kalkan, and this has been one of our favourite villas. The layout is spacious, the outdoor area is huge with a fabulous infinity pool. The views are spectacular… There were 9 of us staying from 12-50 year old. Something for everyone – and space to take yourself off for some peace!”

Amazing!”

“We have just returned from a fantastic week at Villa Yazlik. We were 4 couples and a baby and the villa suited us all perfectly from its luxurious sun beds to the cosy chill out area and stunning pools. Villa Yazlik sits high up from the bay with views that simply take your breath away over Kalkan bay and harbour. The villa is very well equipped for lovely nights in or just a short taxi ride (20TL) to the port where there are ample restaurants and bars to suit everyone! One of our favourite nights was when Yusuf and his wife (who manage the villa) came and cooked for us all…”

“Beautiful house and excellent owner”

“This is a wonderful place with stunning views situated just a few minutes (with car, or 15 min walk) from the village of Kalkan. This region is a very beautiful part of Turkey. The outdoor area is perfect with plenty of sun loungers and sun umbrellas and there are lots of spots where you can get away from the sun if you so wish. We were a party of nine that rented the villa and there was plenty of room for all of us… Don’t hesitate to rent this place. The owner Jenny is quick to answer if you have questions and also Yusuf that tends to the house and the pool is likewise a gem if you have questions or need help with anything on site.”

“The best villa in Kalkan”

“The location is amazing with breathtaking views over the whole of Kalkan. We have visited Kalkan many times but this has to be the best villa we have stayed in. The villa has everything you could wish for and those little extras like an outside Jacuzzi, steam and sauna rooms and additional shallow pool (ideal for those lazy afternoons on the lilo) that made for a truly magical and unique experience. Can’t wait to visit again.”

Dave C, stayed 2017

“Perfect in every way”

“Villa Yazlik is perfect in every way – the view from the pool, lounge and bedrooms takes your breath away. This is our third visit to Kalkan but the first time we have not wanted to leave the villa.”

Tania R, stayed 2017

“Spectacular”

“What a spectacular villa in a very special setting! This lovely property sits at the top of Kalkan, overlooking the beautiful turquoise water of the Mediteranean. It is well appointed, immaculate, spacious and beautiful, and such a lovely place to come ‘home’ to after a day of hiking or sightseeing. Caretaker Yusuf and his wife prepared a magnificent BBQ feast for us one night, so good we asked him to do so again for our final night.”

“Beautiful Breathtaking Villa!”

“It was amazing to arrive at Villa Yazlik and find it was even better than the descriptions and photos on the site. The views from all parts of the villa are fabulous especially from the main living area which has huge floor-to-ceiling glass windows along its whole length. The property well lives up to its description as regards location, facilities etc and we were very well looked after by the locally based manager and his wife. The villa is extremely clean and well maintained. Above all though we enjoyed the feeling of complete relaxation in such a bright, airy, comfortable property with loads of space, fantastic views and plenty of amenities… It was a fabulous holiday I cannot recommend this villa highly enough. We made the best choice ever!”

“Villa Yazlik Kalkan”

“An amazing villa truly 5 star. We have just returned from an amazing holiday in Kalkan. Villa Yazlik exceeded our expectations and that doesn’t happen very often. The villa is modern, spacious and comfortable with the most amazing views over Kalkan Bay. The outdoor spaces are large and work very well. The jacuzzi flowing into the large infinity pool which then flows into a shallow pool – perfect for when it gets too hot or for smaller children. The bedrooms all have fantastic views, terraces and are extremely spacious with walk in wardrobes and modern bathrooms… Kalkan itself is a beautiful little town and everybody we encountered from taxi drivers, shop keepers, green grocers and fish mongers are so polite, helpful and thoughtful…”

“What a beautiful villa”

“The Villa more than lived up to our expectations, it is spacious and comfortable and the views are spectacular. We all had a wonderful holiday, (my 10 year old grandson had a tear as we were leaving). Yusuf and his wife cooked us a humungous barbeque starting with mezzes, followed by fish, chicken, meatballs, steak and chips and then when we all thought we were fit to burst we were served with some delicious baklavas. We visited Saklikent gorge, Kaptas and Patara beaches and of course the market to buy our fake handbags and polo shirts. We hired a boat trip twice and enjoyed swimming in some lovely bays. It was our first visit to Kakan and we look forward to going back.”

“Villa Yazlik”

“The Villa Yazlik is a little gem in Kalkan located on the hillside of the Taurus Mountains, with its spectacular views Kalkan is the St Tropez of Turkey. The villa is beautifully furnished to a high standard, and with its many balconies and windows the views are simply amazing!! Every window is a picture of stunning views, the infinity pool overlooks the town and bay, simply perfect for relaxing in the sun! The shops and restaurants are plentiful and with the overwhelming hospitality of the people of Kalkan it really made our holiday such a great holiday and we didn’t want to come home thank you Jenny.”

“We absolutely loved our stay in Kalkan and your villa was superb. I had kept the details a secret from my husband and when we arrived he thought we were walking onto a film set!”

Emma L, stayed 2012

“We had an absolutely fabulous time and we will be booking for next year. The villa is amazing. We go away in England every year with friends (8+ in total) and rent some new and very luxurious houses but we can always find things that in our eyes could have been improved. We could not find a single thing to criticise in your villa. The layout works brilliantly and the view is simply stunning.”

Gail G, stayed 2012

“What. A. Villa. So, so jealous. Many thanks for allowing us use of your amazing home – the family loved it! The views were truly inspiring and we were quite happy to sit around eating, drinking, swimming and taking in the superb scenes… Kalkan was peaceful and we felt relaxed and safe walking around as a family, but at the same time it had great activities and day trips, and we would have gone for more day trips had it not been for your wonderful and most splendid villa!”

Rizwan and Rachel K, stayed 2011

“Villa Yazlik knocked our socks off, it really is beautiful and so well appointed. We’ve been to plenty where there’s a lack of sun beds etc! The couple who run things there for you were great and kept everything outside clean and tidy for us. We loved Kalkan and spent many hours at the Kalamar beach club… the kids loved the trampoline there. We also sampled plenty of the restaurants and even a few bars and it is a safe enough place to let the kids stay in town at night on their own.”

 John L, stayed 2011

“The pictures don’t do it justice! It’s a fabulous villa. We all had the best holiday we’ve ever had. Define Tours were excellent on the transfers and they arranged a private boat charter which was the highlight of the trip… I went scuba diving… Everyone enjoyed the Kalamar beach club. Lunch was excellent. Patara beach was so good we went back twice. Only problem was not having enough time to fit in the gorge, a mud bath, Kaputas beach and Kekova but maybe next year. We all want to go back.”
