If you can draw yourself away from the villa’s relaxing setting, the beautiful old town of Kalkan is just a 15-minute walk away. From its cobbled streets the old fishermans’ houses tumbling with colourful bougainvillea now house a variety of pretty gift shops, bars, cafes, locantas and sophisticated restaurants.
At the bottom of the hill lie Kalkan beach and beach clubs, and the tiny ancient harbour, home to romantic harbour-side restaurants and traditional wooden gullets that offer day trips around the bays and coastline.
Kalkan is a peaceful, relaxing town where the locals greet you warmly, where the food is some of the best in Turkiye, and where it is easy to while away your time with glass in hand people watching and gazing at the turquoise sea as the gullets and fishing boats sail in and out of the harbour. Kalkan also offers a variety of watersports and activities and the surrounding area is teeming with ancient sites and places to explore.
